Thank you so much. have had constant problem using laptop-could not use it unless plugged into charger. you have saved me £30 + for new battery.. I purchased a dell inspiron 1525 in april 2008. about 1 month ago i noticed that my computer would automaticaly shut down when the power cord was removed, i hovered over the battery icon in the bottom right corner and it said 0% available plugged in, not charging.. So 3 days ago, i saw that my laptop said that it had 79% battery, and it said "plugged in, not charging." i then started troubleshooting by unplugging parts and plugging them back in and i looked up online how to fix it..
In this post i explain how to troubleshoot battery charging problems. i will discuss most common failure examples and suggest. The laptop will not turn on when i try to start it from the battery. when the laptop is turned off and plugged into the ac outlet the battery charge led doesn’t light up.. My samsung chrome laptop charger pin broke while charging and got stock inside the charger head itself so is there any other way i can charge it with a usb until i get money to fix it.
